EXCITED!

From the December 12, 2009 episode of Saturday Night Live - "Surprise."  I guess there is such thing as being too excited.  Though I have a few friends who can get pretty damn excited given the right occassion -- or even completely lacking any occasion at all.  :)

Men on Film II

Ok kids, here's your history lesson for today -- take note.....

In Living Color was a sketch comedy television series that aired in the early 1990's.  Brothers Keenen and Damon Wayans created, wrote and starred in the program.  Men on Film was a recurring sketch appearing on the show featuring Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier.  In this parody of Siskel & Eber, a pair of extremely effeminate gay men, Blaine Edwards and Antoine Merriweather, review films completely based on their potential for homoerotic content.  It is from here the phrase "Hated It!" was born.

A Wedding Entrance

Wow, totally amazing! My hats go off to these folks that show us how a wedding ceremony can be whatever you want it to be -- filled with love, energy, music and fun. The first time I watched this video I actually had a few tears in my eyes by the end -- tears of happiness. Thank you!

Flutter: The New Twitter

We hear a lot about Twitter these days.  I have been on Twitter for a few months now, and I go back and forth with my opinion on it.  Whatever your opinion of Twitter, this video is pretty funny, putting our technoogy-infested lives in some perspective.  This is a mockumentary about a company that wants to take microblogging to the next level.

Leave Britney Alone!

I realize that this video is certainly not new and you have probably seen this at least once, but I just read today that this video made the Top 20 YouTube videos of all time with over 25 million views -- WOW!  I couldn't help but laugh as I watched this little gem again.  ENJOY!

SNL Plastic Surgery Skit

Surgery Center

A familiar voice shills plastic outside a surgery center.

UPDATE (5/31/2009): Unfortunately, this video was removed from both the NBC server and the Hulu server a couple days after this aired on NBC due to supposed rights violation claim. This is quite unfortunate since this was a very cleaver and funny skit with Justin using various currently popular songs and changing the words around to promote getting plastic surgery -- he ended each song with "Just bring it on down the Plasticville." :)

Jackie + Debra - Stephanie Berger

Here is the sequal to our previous posting regarding the drama between best friends Jackie and Debra.  The ending of last year's video left us seeing Jackie and Debra being able to make amends.  Some time has passed now in the story of these two girls.  This time the two girls are faced with new kinds of drama to handle.

Will the friendship be able to hold on once again?  Watch and see what happens.

Kids in the Hall - Buddy Cole Monologue - Excuse me?

Allow me to introduce you to Buddy Cole. The character of Buddy (a fictitious character) appeared frequently in the Canadian sketch comedy television show The Kids in the Hall. Buddy is an effeminate, gay socialite who is known for his monologues. He delivers these monologues from his very own gay bar, Buddy's, which he purchased with the money saved during a brief stint of not smoking cigarettes. Today's monologue entitled 'Excuse Me?' takes on the topic of stereotypes.

OK, now this one has got some "to be enthusiastic you must act enthusiastic and to act enthusiastic you must be enthusiastic" -- I'm not sure I will be running around using his new term he introduces to us, but A PLUS for lettings us have it with such energy and enthusiasm!

This Tragic Life!

With the United States going through some rough times these days -- unemployment, financial & banking crisis, etc....  -- it's easy to find oneself feeling a little down about life and all.  As I pondered this today, I couldn't help but be reminded of Betty Butterfield and her Tragic Life.  If you want to make yourself feel better, check out this Betty Butterfield classic.  Thanks Betty for making us feel better about our lives in comparison to your Tragic Life.  ;)

Maya Angelou recites a Craigslist classic

Maya Angelou demonstrates her award winning skills as an author of poetry by finding poetic verse in seemingly the most unlikely of places -- the personal ads on Craigslist.  Yes, this is some good stuff.

"No fats, No fems..."  I couldn't agree more!  :)
